Printed Pants

The adoration of prints has been quite apparent in fashion lately, but the big question for me was how to make it work on my curvy body.  Some prints can be quite unflattering and even make you appear larger...not the look that I am going for!  Due to these factors, I often stray away from prints, unless it is animal print of course:-)  I recently came across these pants and thought it was finally time to rock a pair of printed pants.  I still think they bring a lot of attention to my bottom half, but I like the overall look of them nonetheless.  To balance the outfit out, I paired it with a classic white shirt (the perfect match for every type of look), but I still felt something was missing, so I added a gorgeous necklace from J.Crew that I am currently in love with!  Have you ventured into the world of printed pants yet?

    I wish I wasn't so afraid of pants with patterns or designs I think with all my hips/butt on me the pants always seem to look off and stretched out!! :-(

  7. I haven't tried printed pants for that reason - didn't want it to be too unflattering. I guess the trick is to find the right print, like you did. Love the look and I'm swooning over that necklace!

  13. I don't wear printed pants for that very reason as well. I feel like they draw a lot of attention to my legs which i'm not always a fan off. But this spring I might take some inspiration from your book and find me some flattering printed trousers x

  14. I so love the pop of color with the yellow necklace...so chic. and where do you find these amazing h&m pieces?! I cannot seem to fiind a way of getting h&m+ pieces. Even though the wedges are from good ole payless, show me the difference between them and a name brand black suede wedges. They all look fab lol

  16. Today, I went to the beachfront with my children.
    I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and
    said "You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear." She put the shell to
    her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and
    it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back!

  18. I finally picked up 2 pairs of printed pants-and believe me it was long overdue! They are both graphic like yours but one pair is ankle length and the other pair are wide leg in a flowing fabric. You look fantastic in a graphic print and I look forward to seeing what other goodies you pluck from your wardrobe to share with us! : )

  23. A really great outfit. Those printed pants are great on you the color and fit are both perfect on you. I also adore the necklace and clutch. I love an oversized clutch with a casual outfit - very funky!
