Having Fun | Cutoffs and Camou
| cutoffs - vintage Levis (thrifted) handbag - Zara tights - Walmart camouflage vest - my little nephew's closet (but he got it from a flea market; a great place to find unique pieces) boots - Shoe Mint |
Although I tend to be more on the traditional side, you all may not know that I can be quite wild and rebellious at times. I am actually addicted to having fun! I always want to go somewhere or do something exciting, and I drive my husband crazy with that. I love to debate, and I am more prone to "go against the grain" in my everyday life. I think today's outfit reflects the side of me that not many people are able to see. Rocking a pair of cutoffs with tights is not something that I woud have envisioned myself doing a year ago because my style is more classic! I am amazed at how willing I am to take risks and try new things, all while staying true to my personal style. Somehow I was able to pull this outfit off without it looking too grunge or masculine, which can be difficult when wearing anything camouflage. I still felt very feminine in this outfit, and I was pleased with how it all came together (my hubby even liked it, which was quite shocking). If your legs are not your best assest (and mine are not), I would recommend wearing tights under your cutoffs. This will help to disguise any imperfections that you do not care to show off. I will talk to you all later, until then, stay fabulous!

"Gone With The Wind Fabulous"
| crop top - ASOS skirt - Lane Bryant (turned into a skater skirt by my seamstress) pumps - Steve Madden clutch - (old) Jessica Simpson |
Don't you just love this quote from "The Real Housewives of Atlanta's" Kenya Moore! That is one humorous girl! Well, it was super windy when I was taking blog pictures, so the name of this post is very appropriate. I have wanted a skater skirt for a long time, but most of them are way too short for my taste. So what did I do? I took this old skirt to my seamstress and had her revamp it. It is very hard from me to find clothes that fit perfectly straight off the rack. I will be posting a video on my YouTube channel on the importance of tailoring very soon. I need a skirt like this in every color because I just love it, and an "all-black" ensemble always brings me joy. Thanks so much for reading, and for all of the positive feedback that you leave me after every post! Happy Holidays!

Date Night
| faux fur collar ~ H&M earrings ~ JLC Women pumps ~ Zara top ~ Marshalls Faux fur is quickly becoming a favorite, so for date night I decided to take my new faux fur collar for a spin! If you are into this look, run to H&M and pick it up because I got it for around $7.00 on sale last weekend. As for the rest of my outfit, "all black" is the uniform, but I decided to add a pop of color to compliment my lovely earrings that JLC Women sent me. Go check them out! |
