Having Fun | Cutoffs and Camou

cutoffs - vintage Levis (thrifted)
handbag - Zara
tights - Walmart
camouflage vest - my little nephew's closet (but he got it from a flea market; a great place to find unique pieces)
boots - Shoe Mint

Although I tend to be more on the traditional side, you all may not know that I can be quite wild and rebellious at times.  I am actually addicted to having fun!  I always want to go somewhere or do something exciting, and I drive my husband crazy with that.  I love to debate, and I am more prone to "go against the grain" in my everyday life.  I think today's outfit reflects the side of me that not many people are able to see. Rocking a pair of cutoffs with tights is not something that I woud have envisioned myself doing a year ago because my style is more classic!  I am amazed at how willing I am to take risks and try new things, all while staying true to my personal style.  Somehow I was able to pull this outfit off without it looking too grunge or masculine, which can be difficult when wearing anything camouflage.  I still felt very feminine in this outfit, and I was pleased with how it all came together (my hubby even liked it, which was quite shocking).  If your legs are not your best assest (and mine are not), I would recommend wearing tights under your cutoffs.  This will help to disguise any imperfections that you do not care to show off.  I will talk to you all later, until then, stay fabulous!

Christmas Day

blazer - Forever21
handbag - Zara
skinny jeans - Catos
booties - Forever21
Christmas day was the perfect time to wear my red blazer!  I had so much fun with my family exchanging gifts and celebrating the birth of Jesus!  After all of the gift exchanging, we decided to head out and see "Django."  It was pretty good, and I think this is the first time I have gone to the movies on Christmas day.  I wore my usual and added a pop of color with the blazer.  I ordered these animal print booties on a whim after looking at them for awhile.  They are not really a style that I would usually wear, but sometimes I step outside of my "box."  Happy Holidays to you all!

Christmas Eve

midi skirt - ASOS
blouse - JcPenny's
wedges - Payless (I love these shoes so much that I am considering buying a back up pair!)
Button earrings - GRITT
handbag - Forever 21

The midi skirt was made for someone with my body type.  It covers the less flattering parts of my legs and hugs my curves perfectly!  I call it the "grown-up" bodycon.  Skirts like this are just so classy and elegant.  I wore this outfit to a Christmas Eve party.  I paired it with a contrast collar green shirt because I thought it made the outfit a bit more casual.  It is such a cute top!  I feel that I totally accomplished my goal of being cute and comfortable tonight.  What do you think?

"Gone With The Wind Fabulous"

crop top - ASOS
skirt - Lane Bryant (turned into a skater skirt by my seamstress)
pumps - Steve Madden
clutch - (old) Jessica Simpson

Don't you just love this quote from "The Real Housewives of Atlanta's" Kenya Moore! That is one humorous girl!  Well, it was super windy when I was taking blog pictures, so the name of this post is very appropriate.  I have wanted a skater skirt for a long time, but most of them are way too short for my taste.  So what did I do?  I took this old skirt to my seamstress and had her revamp it.  It is very hard from me to find clothes that fit perfectly straight off the rack.  I will be posting a video on my YouTube channel on the importance of tailoring very soon.  I need a skirt like this in every color because I just love it, and an "all-black" ensemble always brings me joy. Thanks so much for reading, and for all of the positive feedback that you leave me after every post!  Happy Holidays!

I have no clue what I will be doing for New Year's, but I do know that a crop top and a lace skirt = the perfect outfit!  This look is from my New Year's collaboration with SuppleChic and ontheQtrain on YouTube.  So make sure that you go check out their looks as well!

Casual Saturdays

Top - Forever 21
boots - Shoemint
necklace - MrSheek.com
skinny jeans - Catos
It is time for me to update the casual pieces in my wardrobe, so when I saw this cute pullover in Forever 21 I had to get it.  It is the perfect top to spend my saturdays in, which usually consist of relaxing, shopping, or blogging.  This outfit was simple, but cute and casual.  The boots add a little edge, and what would life be without a great pair of skinny jeans!  What are some of your favorite casual looks?

Date Night

faux fur collar ~ H&M
earrings ~ JLC Women
pumps ~ Zara
top ~ Marshalls

Faux fur is quickly becoming a favorite, so for date night I decided to take my new faux fur collar for a spin!  If you are into this look, run to H&M and pick it up because I got it for around $7.00 on sale last weekend.  As for the rest of my outfit, "all black" is the uniform, but I decided to add a pop of color to compliment my lovely earrings that JLC Women sent me.  Go check them out!
