"Think Like A Man" Date Night (crop top style)
| red blazer ~ thrifted, crop top ~ Guess via TJ Maxx, trousers ~ Catos, belt & watch ~ Michael Kors |
So like everyone else that I know, I went on a date with my hubby to see "Think Like a Man" last night. It was a good movie and I would recommend it! I decided to wear one of my favorite crop tops, with wide leg trousers, and a cute red blazer that I thrifted. You all know that I love crop tops because I tell you all the time, and I wear them a lot. I like to dress pretty conservatively, but there are times when I like to add a little edge to my outfits.
For all my curvy girls, I would recommend wearing cropped type styles with high-waist bottoms if you do not have a completely flat mid-section. I never wear a top like this unless I am wearing a high-waisted bottom. I believe in "keeping it classy" at all times, so I think this look is not too over the top. I hope this tip helps someone who would like to venture into the world of crop tops. Weekend Style | Harem Pants
![]() |
| harem pants ~ Dots, blazer ~ Sears, pumps ~ Nine West, sequin tank ~ Lane Bryant |
This weekend I took a stab at wearing the harem pants that I bought last year when this trend was really big. For some reason I never wore them, so I decided it was finally time to pull them out and see what I could do with them. You all know I love an "all black" outfit, so a blazer and a sequin top was the perfect pairing. I am glad that I waited until this trend died down to pull them out because I felt that my look really stood out. I always thought that harem pants make plus size women look bigger (and they probably do), but I love this outfit.
