Day to Night: The Cargo Jacket

Cargo jackets have always been in style, but lately I have seen pictorials featuring the classic army jacket.  So, I decided to pull mine out of the closet and show you how I take my jacket from day to night!

Look 1 : Layering

Jacket - Lane Bryant similar here
jeggings - Lane Bryant
top - Lane Bryant
boots - Easy Spirit
bag - Dooney & Bourke
In the past, I was not one to layer my clothing too much, but now you can find me in layers on any day of the week.  The cargo jacket was made for layering!  You can wear an oversized blouse and a sweater under an army jacket because they usually have a relaxed fit.  For a casual look, I paired it with my favorite jeggings and chelsea style boots.  The perfect outfit for running errands or shopping!

Look 2: Night Out
skirt - Lane Bryant
wedges - Payless (I live in these wedges lately!)
belt - Michael Kors
For an evening out when you are not trying to do too much, this would be such a comfortable and fun way to wear your army jacket.  I love how cargo jackets look paired with a belt.  It really gives the jacket structure.  I had to pair it with my favorite skater skirt that I have worn with so many outfits!  It looks great with almost anything.  How do you wear your army jacket?

  3. You look stunning! I like your twist-out!

I like both looks. The first look is casual, but stylish. The second look is very chic! :) There are times, when I don't like putting too much thought into my outfits, so I would definitely wear both looks you have on. You styled the cargo jacket well :)

  7. I love both looks also! I especially love how you layer the first look. As someone who is just getting into layering, I can appreciate how you are working it. And since I have a similar military style jacket, you have inspired me to style it two new ways. Thanks, lady =)
