Lazy Sunday

So I want to start showing you what I wear on the weekends, but this outfit is not great.  I am very busy all week long.  On the weekends, if I don't have anything to do, I am on chill mode.  This is an outfit that I threw together to go to the mall with the hubby.  I do like the shirt that I picked up at Catos a couple of weeks ago.  I am not a big fan of Catos,  but I do pop in every now and then to see if I find anything to my liking.

This outfit was really not post worthy, but I do not know when I will post again, so I thought I would share it.  I am new to this blogging world (although I have been reading blogs for years), and there are so many things that I want to share.  I enjoy all of your feedback and the connections that I have made with all of my fashion lovers so far.

Working Girl

Dress - Lane Bryant

Necklace - Stein Mart

Shoes - Target

I found this dress to be sexy, yet conservative.  When I dress for work there will always be a line that I will not be able to cross, so I have to be mindful of my style choices.  I sometimes feel very constricted in my work apparel, because I wish I was able to wear what I truly wanted on an everyday basis.

So for this reason, I am going to start doing more post about what I wear on the weekends soon.  As I have said before, I like to be classy, but with a kick.  I felt that this dress gave me that, because the way it hugged my curves my husband gave me a long stare before I left the house.  I must say that I feel great when I wear this dress.

Lady In Red

Belt from NY & CO

Pattern Tights from Target

Oxford heels from Sears

I really like my MAC Viva Glam Cyndi lipstick!

Okay I know BRIGHT, but I absolutely love this dress.  Maybe it is because I am a Devastating Diva (Delta Sigma Theta Inc.) and this is one of my sorority colors, but who am I kidding?  I love just about any bright color.  I found this dress at Target awhile back, and I had to have it!  It may not be everybody's cup of tea, but it sure is mine.

So Who Doesn't Love Animal Prints?

(Leopard cardigan-New York & Co, Skirt-Avenue, Tank Top-Target)

Kenneth Cole studded pumps

Love my Michael Kors belt!

So I have had this cardigan for a very long time and I have worn it a few times, but I still love it.  I am a big fan of any type of print, but I am definitely a sucker for leopard print!  I also wore one my oldie but goodies pair of pumps.  I love these Kenneth Cole studded pumps and they are so freakin comfortable.  I loved the mixture of studs and leopard, and I must admit that I felt like the best dressed school teacher today!

Combat Boots LOVE

(Military Studded Shirt-Ashley Stewart, skirt-Lane Bryant, Combat boots-Rack Room, stud earrings-Claires)

I am not the kind of girl that jumps on every trend that I see, but I am really loving the combat boots trend.  I found a really nice and affordable pair from Rack Room Shoes, but I am on the hunt for some more.  I have a job that does not allow me to express myself through style as much as I would like, but I push the barrier sometimes LOL!  Anyway, I felt like this outfit represented a sophisticated version of a "Rocker Girl" look.  So I give the military trend two thumbs up, because I am enjoying finding different pieces that look good on me.

High-Waist Pants Are A Must

(pants-Lane Bryant, blouse-NY & Company, bracelet-Forever 21, shoes-Nine West)

No matter what any fashion magazine says, "high-waisted pants and skirts will never go out of style for me."  I find this look to be just clean and classic.   Black and red is one of my favorite color combinations to wear.  I am mostly a classic dresser, but I believe in having a little edge in all of my outfits.  Once again this work outfit was a hit for me, but my feet was hurting bad after standing all day LOL!
